D Vickery June Fog, Monhegan.jpg

David Vickery is an exceptional artist who has painted from his Cushing, Maine studio since 1991.

David states: "[m]y work is about the merger of nature and culture – an attempt to make sense of our place in the world. I look at interior spaces and our imprint on the landscape with an eye for the imperfect, quirky, and sometimes elegant adaptations we’ve made in order to live here."

His work has been exhibited widely including at the Farnsworth Art Museum and the Center for Maine Contemporary Art.  David was awarded a Carina House artist residency on Monhegan Island in 1993.
